時点で正常群、頭蓋内対照手術(SX)群、松果体除去(PX)群間で計量光顕的・電顕的に比較した成績を、種々の観点から統合した。主な結果:1. 正常動物副腎髄質の多くの構造はA・N細胞間差異を示した。更に構造群は実験処置、日内時間によりAN 細胞間差異の有無が変化しない群(A・N細胞サイズと種々の核構造、神経終末サイズや支持細胞の介在度等)と変化する群に大別された。2. 手術の影響:1)PX効果は多くのA細胞関連構造群に出現し、特定時間帯にのみ効果が現れる群もあった。N細胞関連ではPX効果は少数(核小体と神経終末)でのみ観察された。2)PX効果には仮説的松果体媒介SX効果と単純PX 効果とが識別された。前者には日内変動の抑制のような独特のSX 効果とPX 逆転効果が含まれた。加えて、3)A・N細胞間差異に及ぼす多様なPX効果、4)皮質介在性影響を示唆するPX効果の髄質内部位差、5)神経介在性影響を示唆するPX
