正常哺乳動物松果体に見られるメラニンやリポフスチン等の色素。　2. 1）哺乳動物松果体の組織発生過程、特に神経上皮性要素と間葉性要素。2）ヒト胎生期における松果体原基からの多数のメラニン含有上皮性細胞の出現と、出生後におけるそれらの著減等の個体発生的変化。　3. 1）ナメクジウオ（頭索動物）やホヤ（尾\n索動物）における色素細胞と感覚系の関連性の存在。2）爬虫類松果体における色素細胞の光顕的、電顕的観察報告。4. 背側神経管、神経堤、色素細胞等の発達関連機序、特にWnt信号の関与。5. 1）松果体部原発腫瘍における神経堤由来型と神経上皮由来型の2 型のメラニン性腫瘍の存在。転位腫やメラニン性“原始” 神経外胚葉性腫瘍等の腫瘍、及び松果体メラニン性腫瘍との比較。3）メラノーマ、松果体芽腫、髄芽腫とWNT信号経路との関連。結論：この研究領域は興味深く重要な問題に関連し、それらは部分的には解決されているが、全体像の解明は依然
